R U Sleeping

The wait is over!

Now there is a way to screen for Sleep Apnea in the comfort of your own home… and it’s FREE!

Woodinville Sleep Improvement Center would like to introduce the R U Sleeping sleep apnea screening device by Respironics, Inc.

The lightweight and compact digital screening device provides continuous apneic event scoring (airflow reduction/cessation while you are sleeping). Instructions are short and simple. No accessory equipment, software or electrical outlet is needed. Here’s the best part: It’s free!

How it Works

R U Sleeping

Attach the nasal cannula and install the battery in the unit. The unit can rest on your bed stand or positioned on the bed or pillow. Respiratory airflow pressure at the nose is sensed via the cannula and the device will begin to digitally record apneic (airflow reduction/cessation) events. If your breathing decreases 50 percent or more for 10 seconds or longer while you sleep, it is clinically considered an apneic event and is recorded on the LCD readout.

Upon awakening, the total nightly apneic events are displayed. Press the grey button to see the average hourly apneic events and the number of events by each hour. Return the device to Woodinville Sleep Improvement Center and we can discuss your results with you. Your results will help determine whether or not there is a need for an overnight sleep study at our comfortable and convenient location in downtown Woodinville. It’s that simple!
